Recipe of the month

~ Veggies with RIce~

1 sliced Carrot
1 cup Cherry Tomatoes, halved
1 Zuchinni, sliced
1 Yellow Squash, sliced
1 chopped Red Onion
1 cup Broccoli Florets
1 cup Sugar Snap Peas
4 Cloves of Garlic, minced
Fresh chopped Parsley
Ground Pepper

Chicken or Vegetable Broth
1 TBSP Canola, Flaxseed or Olive Oil
1 TBSP Braggs Liquid Amino Acids

1.Cook brown rice or wild rice according to directions on the package. When rice has about 15 minutes left to cook begin veggies.

2. Put the oil in a saute pan on medium high heat. Add onion and cook 2 minutes. Add garlic,       broccoli, carrots and cook 3-4 minutes. Add small amounts of both to pan as needed so that       veggies don't stick and burn.

3. Add zuchinni, squash, Braggs Amino Acids and more broth if needed. Cook 1-2 minutes then add       tomatoes & sugar snap peas.

4. Plate rice with veggies on top.

5.Garnish with sprigs of parsley and enjoy.

Spinal Balancing

Benefits:

  • Strengthens the muscles in the back, shoulder stabilizers, gluteals & hamstrings
  • Improves Balance.
  • Core Exercise

How to do this exercise:

(Always be sure to check with your Dr before performing this or any other new exercise especially if you have heart problems, high or low blood pressure, neck problems or are pregnant)

1. Start with stomach over the ball. Hands and feet on the floor.

2. Inhale. Exhale and reach the right hand forward and left foot back.

3. Inhale and lower. Exhale and repeat with left hand forward and right foot back.

Something to Think About:

No More Drama

Everyone has some sort of family drama around the holidays. Say no to the drama. Accept people for who they are and make a decision not to take on their issues and not to react to their drama. Curb the drama even before it happens if you can. If not - decide now to be non-reactive to the drama.

A good strategy is think of something that you find hysterical. When you find yourself getting caught up in someone elses issues tell yourself that this is not your issue and think about your funny scenario. If you are able to look at the situation as a fly on the wall you will usually find the situation itself pretty funny.
