                    - A few hours
before you are ready to cook - put clams in a bowl filled
with water so that clams are covered completely with water.
                      Place in the fridge.

                     - When
you are ready to cook place onions and oil in a large pot.
Heat on medium heat until translucent. Add garlic and cook
                      1 minute more.

                     -
Add White Wine, Italian Seasoning and Smart Balance - cover
                      and cook 2 minutes.

                     - Drain clams
from water in bowl making sure to rinse out the sand, then
                      add clams to pot.

                     - Cover and
cook for a few minutes. They cook quickly so you will need
to stay there and watch the pot. As the clams open, remove
them immediately with tongs so they do not overcook and
                      become tough.

ENJOY with a salad and a crusty loaf of bread!

                  Want to help?
                  Dear Animal Lovers,
Lucy needs your help! Lucy is a 61 pound, brindle colored
with white chest and feet, sweet, extremely affectionate staff
terrier mix. She loves giving kisses and thinks she is a lap
                    dog.
Lucy was rescued from a homeless man when she was seen being
abused repeatedly. She was taken to a vet who found that both
her legs were broken from him kicking and pulling her. Lucy
now needs surgery and Voice for the Animals, the wonderful
people who rescued her is raising money to pay for her $2500
                    surgery.
Tax Deductible Donations to the Lucy Fund can be made to:

friends. This is Lucy's hour of need and she needs friends!
They are also looking for someone who would foster Lucy while
she recovers from her surgery. All she needs is a little corner
in someone's home where she can relax and feel safe. And she
will repay that person with lots of kisses.
