Watermelon Shrimp Salad
1 bag of Spring Mix Salad
1/2 red onion, sliced
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1 lb of large or extra large shrimp, peeled and
deveined
3 cups cubed watermelon
2 TBSP Feta Cheese
1/3 cup Balsamic Vinagrette
Salt & Pepper to taste
Olive Oil Spray

1. Pre-heat grill
and lightly spray shrimp with olive oil, then sprinkle with
salt and pepper. Cook until pink and opaque.
2. On a platter
mix salad, onion, tomatoes, watermelon and cheese.
3. When shrimp is
cooked add to platter.
4. Drizzle vinagrette
lightly onto salad.
5. Add Feta cheese.

Pilates
Side Leg Series Part 6
Leg
Lift
The 6th exercise in my favorite Pilates series. More
in the series to follow in the upcoming months
Benefits:
- Strengthens outer thighs
and gluts
- Improves Hip Stability
- Strengthens abs and back.

How to do this exercise:
(Always be sure to check with your Dr before performing this
or any other new exercise especially if you have heart problems,
high or low blood pressure, back or neck problems or are pregnant)

Lie on your side with legs straight and stacked on
each other.Zip
your abs.Lengthen
your spine and keep good posture.Use top hand for support
on the floor.

Inhale
make sure to zip. Exhale and lift top leg to hip height.

Inhale
and lower leg.
-
Lift
the leg only as high as you can with complete stability
in the rest of your body. Do not let your spine, pelvis
or shoulders move. Keep your zip.

Repeat up to 8 - 16 times then switch directions. The
most important thing is to keep your body stable. Once
you are stable then you can increase your movement.
Start out with a small amount of movement in the leg
in order to keep stability in your body. This exercise
is meant to be done after part 5 of the series. Part
7 comes next. Check back for it.
