Recipe of the month


Cucumber and


Pomegranate Salad

• 1 English Cucumber


• 1/2 cup Fresh Pomegranate Seeds

• 1-2 TBSP Italian Salad Dressing (I      use an all natural one like      Annies or Paul Newmans)

1. Slice Cucumber in even slices.


2. Add Pomegranate Seeds and toss gently with dressing.


A great, healthy, yummy, easy and festive holiday salad and snack.



Exercise of the month

Warrior 1 Pose



  • Strengthens & Stretches Thigh Muscles
  • Improves Balance
  • Relieves Stress
  • Strengthens Shoulder Stabilizers
  • ~ In a time of year when stillness is rare, spend some time in warrior 1 for a peaceful time out.


How to do this exercise:


(Always be sure to check with your Dr before performing this or any other new exercise especially if you have heart problems, high or low blood pressure, back or neck problems or are pregnant)

  1. Stand with feet together, arms down to the sides. Zip the abs.
  2. Lunge the left leg back with the left toes toward the left slightly. Back leg is straight. Front leg is bent with the knee over the ankle,toes are forward.
  3. Open the chest, keep the scapulae neutral and keep as much space between the shoulders and ears and you can while you raise the arms over the shoulders.
  4. Let the eyes gaze slightly upward. Lift through the abdomen and drop through the tailbone so that you can lift out of the center, rather than sink into the center.
  5. Hold this pose from 15 seconds to 2 minutes, while the breath remains calm and fluid. Let your breath be your guide as to how long to stay in warrior 1. Repeat with other leg.
